This role will see you :

 

Manage and participate within the Trendpac R&D Team, contributing to the formulation and development of new products and the improvement of existing products, whilst ensuring safety, quality, efficacy and cost standards are achieved.

 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Bachelor of Science or relevant degree.
  • Stakeholder engagement with Quality, QA LAB, compounding, purchasing and planning team, BDM’s, product and category managers, IT, Customers especially technical/quality team members, suppliers.

  • Oversee the development of new product formulations and associated activities. 
  • Extensive proven experience in-home care/personal care formulation.
  • Experience in managing team output
  • Able to analyse problems by considering alternatives, followed by the systematic rejection of unacceptable alternatives
  • Focused and able to provide attention to detail;
  • Skilled in translating  ideas from concept to sample to manufacturing
  • Ability to deliver sustainable continuous improvement initiatives
  • Thinks clearly and logically and make decisions under pressure
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a range of different people both verbally and in writing
  • Adapts to change and absorb and translate new information.
  • Able to adapt behavior and work methods in response to changing conditions
  • The ability to identify opportunities and issues proactively
  • Acts and follows through on work activities to resolve or capitalise on them
  • The ability to apply original thinking to improve processes, products and services

  • Sound time and priority management with the ability to manage multiple priorities at any one time without losing focus
  • Works autonomously whilst at the same time contributing to a small team environment
  • Demonstrated record of Safety culture improvement
  • Extensive Knowledge in formulation and preparation of Household and Personal Care Products
  • Extensive understanding and application of safety management principles
  • Extensive understanding and application of good manufacturing practice (GMP)
  • Extensive understanding and application of quality principles.
  • Sound knowledge of NAV (or applicable ERP)
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)

The successful applicant will report to the Business & Development  Manager and be an integral part of an important Business development team contributing to the growth of this Australian owned business.
